Scared Dog Gets Carried By Owner While Riding The Escalator

Fear and Love: Google the Golden Retriever

We’re all afraid of something, no matter how silly it might seem to others. For Google, a lovable golden retriever, it’s escalators that send shivers down his spine.

Google’s fear isn’t uncommon; the condition, called “escalaphobia,” affects both humans and animals. While escalators transport 245 million people daily across the U.S. and Canada, some—like Google—just can’t face them.

Adopted in 2016, Google has been a cherished part of his parents’ lives, sharing countless memories. He met Santa as a pup, attended their wedding, and celebrated milestones by their side. But when confronted with the challenge of riding an escalator, his reaction was unmistakable: he froze, shrinking to the floor in fear.

Knowing their furry friend’s limits, Google’s dad didn’t push him. Instead, he bent down, scooped up his 70-pound companion, and carried him over the moving steps. Passers-by couldn’t help but smile at the heartwarming sight as Google clung tightly to his dad.

The moment was captured and shared with Google’s 120,000 Instagram followers, who loved seeing this big dog act like a baby in his owner’s arms. It’s a touching reminder that love always finds a way to conquer fear.
